I have been celebrating my last 5 birthdays (19th-23th) in totally different destinations, environments, and with completely different group of friends, making all of them not only truly Unique but also Unforgettable! Let’s pay them a tribute!
La Sultana Marrakesh is the most magical Riad (actually a combination of 5 different Riads) located in the heart of the Medina – the old city – and was also the perfect place to shoot the green sapphire Kaftan created by my dear friend Amine Mrani.
Welcome to Ouarzazate – the studio city of Morocco. This magical village, situated in the middle of the Sahara and Atlas Mountain, gives direct access to the famous Aït Benhaddou – the UNESCO World Heritage Site and fortified Ksar – where 7 movies have been recorded contributing to the rich history of Hollywood.
When we imagine Morocco, its people, its landscapes, its Medina, its souk, we imagine Fes. Welcome to the most authentic and emblematic Moroccan city.
During my long trip in Morocco in Dec/Jan, Royal Mansour Marrakech was my last destination before to go back to Rome. I was so inspired by this Palace owned by his-Majesty the King, that I called my good friend Amine Mrani, Haute Couture designer, and we set-up a shooting with 8 of its most beautiful Kaftans.
And here we go again. This time 23. I hate to get older. But having my birthday the last day of the year is always a good idea to have some fun and prepare a great party in Marrakesh!
Ait-Benhaddou. The famous and mysterious Ksar of Ait-Benhaddou. The fortified city along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech never stopped to make the world dream and write about it. In fact, 21 movies and Tv series were recorded in this holy place for the “7ième Art”.
