Cruising: Royal Princess Boat

Hello Girls! I’m super excited to share with you my new Adventure! It’s finally time to get on board of the Magnificent Royal Princess for a 21 days cruise across the wonderful Caribbean Islands. It’s my very first time cruising! I’m so delighted!

Are you ready for the Journey?! Cruising can be an Amazing Experience and way cheaper than you think! After having talked with friends much more experienced on cruising, here are some the tips they shared:

6 Tips To Cruise Better & Cheaper

1. Call directly the cruising company to get reduced prices. I tried first by a Travel Agency they had nice prices but I was still not convinced they were offering me the cheapest ones. So I took my phone and called directly Royal Princess, and guess what? They gave me an outstanding rate! Way cheaper than any travel agency could ever make. See, the cruising company doesn’t have any extra commission to add so you can perfectly negotiate with them and get the best rate ever!

2. Pack extra personal hygiene products. If you think that only one shampoo, one toothpaste, or one lotion will be enough, don’t be that sure! On board, the prices are extremely high for any kind of hygiene products and their size is super small! Bring with you at least 2 products of each or a XXL size!

3. Don’t forget your work out gear!  Boats have a health center, basketball court, and a jogging area so you can bring your sneakers and your fitness wear to keep you in shape! No excuses!

4. Bring vitamins and energizing shots with you. Ships balance all the time. Even if they are very stable, You can feel the balancing of the boat and after 1 or 2 days, it will start making you feeling sleepy and tired, so it’s very important to bring vitamins and energy’s shots for your cruise. They don’t sell it on board unfortunately. And believe me, I started to feel sleepy and tired all the time if it was a day sailing.

5. Don’t book excursions sold on board, they are at least 60% more expensive than onshore. You can either book previously online so you will get outstanding prices for all your days onshore, or you can find a lot of excursions’ providers awaiting for you on each destination. Try to make a group of 5-6 persons and you guys will be able to get even better rates with the provider.

6. Have at least 2-3 extra evening dresses just in case. There are a lot of formal evenings where suit and evening dress are required. And sometimes, well… unforeseen happens, so be sure to have always another dress as a Plan B.

What do you think about Cruising? Did you enjoy your last trip? Any other recommendation would you suggest? Let me know!
