After our morning spent in the hidden paradise of Crane Beach located in the East Coast of Barbados, we moved to the most popular and touristic place of the island: Carlisle Bay. This is the most visited and famous beach of Barbados! So we should at least stop by.
To gain access to the beach, we had to enter into a very popular snack-bar known to have Rihanna as one of its client. Actually we even found pictures in the walls confirming it.
Carlisle Bay is a perfectly white-sandy beach with several bars, resorts and lounges over the coast, which, at the end, make this place extremely crowded!
But it’s definitely the right spot to enjoy good music and a couple of drinks!
I have a crush for red lipstick, but combined with a white hat and my Marilyn white bikini, we are back to the 50s to play the Pin-Up style! I admit it was really fun to take some pics in the middle of a crowded sea, but we managed to find our little space.
The water was so perfect (as hot as we expect from any Caribbean beach) however we had some cloudy moments.
Wearing this Pin-Up style over a so crowded beach is so much fun! We caught some curious eyes trying to sneak peek what was going on (mainly during the photo-shoot), others even asked us directly as soon as we get out of the water! But I have to confess: this style doesn’t leave anyone indifferent, and if you combine it with a good happy vibe and a smile, is success guaranteed! Plus Barbadians are so friendly and lovely, that you will make new friends in a couple of seconds just by spreading this amazing joy of life!
Who can wear a Pin-Up Style on the Beach? Actually, I believe everyone as soon as you are in the mood for that. For my Pin-Up Style, I was inspired by the iconic diva Marilyn Monroe, and combined with a red lipstick, curvy hairs and a hat, we are ready to have fun anywhere, anytime!
What To Do, Eat, Shop
What To Do: Barbados is known for its perfect idyllic white-sand beaches and crystal clear water, so if you are looking for a beach-vacation, this island has plenty to offer! I loved the very secret and difficult-to-access Crane Beach, and in contrast the very famous and fun Carlisle Bay. Both are perfect spots! For a quiet day you will prefer Crane Beach, but to have fun and a couple of drinks, you will definitely go to Carlisle Bay. If you have time, explore the iconic Harrison’s cave accessible through a tramway.
What To Eat: Barbados is known for its beaches, ok. But it’s also known for its very mystic Blue Marlin Cutter (a fish sandwich) made in this 40 years old snack-bar Cuz’s fish stand. A must!
What To Shop: Rum! Since it’s its birthplace, stopping by a Rum Shop is a must before leaving the Island!
